What is your process like?
At Sage Organization and Design, we have a tried-and-true, multi-step process to transform your rooms, cabinets, and closets into functional and beautiful spaces. We begin by pulling all of your items out of the project area and categorizing them. We work with you through the editing process so you end up with only items you need, use, and love. From there we will consider your lifestyle and how you utilize your space and items to create a space plan for your new systems. We’ll source and implement products specifically selected for you and your space. Then we’ll label and add other finishing touches to complete the transformation!
How do you help with editing?
This can be a tricky step in the process for many as it involves letting go of items and making some (potentially difficult) decisions. We support you through this portion with gentle guidance and zero judgement. We are experts in helping you decide what to keep and how to move on from items that no longer serve you. Do you handle moves?
YES! Here at Sage Organization & Design, we are considered move management specialists! We help with all parts of the moving process from packing up and coordinating with movers to organizing and labeling your new home. We work with designers, contractors, moving companies, and other vendors to make your relocation seamless and stress-free!
How long does a space normally take?
There are A LOT of steps involved in perfecting a space! Of course, everyone’s spaces in New York are different and everyone’s stuff is different. There is no set time frame a certain space will take. We’ve tackled three bathrooms in a single day and taken three days on a single kitchen! Your space and your stuff will determine the length of the project.
why invest in products?
Products set you up for success by creating homes for your belongings and by clearly guiding all the members of your family to easily maintain the systems we set up. With our custom labels, everyone will be able to see exactly where to grab AND return any items with ease.
Organizing products are the building blocks of a good system. We believe that utilizing products is vital to the success of the system. Whether you are purchasing containers from the store or repurposing items you already have (shoe boxes, upcycled jars, etc.), containers are what make the magic happen! Bins, baskets, and other organizing products create boundaries that help you recognize space and volume limitations. It is a clear visual that you can’t always discern without a container - once the bin or basket is filled, that’s it!
what products do you use and how do you choose them?
We primarily utilize products from The Container Store and Amazon! We are happy to source products from any vendors but due to the volume of product needed for some space or bigger projects, we find sourcing from TCS or Amazon allows us to create uniform and purposeful spaces.
Our selection process is dependent upon a handful of factors: the space, client preferences, budget, and design aesthetic. Every system we create is specifically tailored to each client’s preference, lifestyle, and spaces!

Do you take donations?
Absolutely. We are happy to facilitate a donation pick up or drop donations off on your behalf! We recommend allowing us to handle this part so your donations don't sit in the corner staring at you on a Saturday morning as you contemplate going to brunch instead of making that trip to Goodwill. ;)
Is any space too small to organize?
Nope! No space is too small to solve those organization woes.
