Color Coordinate Your Reading List
If you're looking for a simple way to make an impact on a space without spending any money, look to your bookshelf! Its the perfect place to start. A bookshelf can be a big source of visual clutter, so organizing your books will really help pull the space together.
Start by taking all the books off your shelves. Find one book of each color to distinguish where your piles will be. Then, go through each book adding to the piles. Red, orange, yellow, so on and so forth. Once you have all your books grouped by color, start putting them back on the shelves from the top left corner first, then down each shelf, in rainbow order. Consider stacking some of them vertically and some horizontally, to add visual interest and break up the shelves.
You can even add in some framed photos and trinkets to personalize your collection and make it your own. Have fun with it! The beautiful thing about it is you can't do it wrong! You'll see your books in a whole new light and create a beautiful conversation starter.
